Pinjore Gardens (Yadavindra Gardens), located 25km from Chandigarh in Panchkula district, is one of India's most beautiful Mughal gardens. Built in 17th century by Fidai Khan (Fountain of Joy), governor under Aurangzeb, featuring 7 descending terraces with water channels, fountains, Sheesh Mahal (Mirror Palace), Rang Mahal (Hall of Colors), and 700-year-old banyan tree. UNESCO tentative World Heritage site showcasing Persian-Mughal landscaping art with seasonal flower beds, cypress avenues, and musical fountains.
